MMS Acquires Richmark Medical

ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI, November 1, 2011. MMS – A Medical Supply Company, one of the largest independent healthcare distributors, announced today that is has completed the acquisition of Richmark Medical Supply Company, a well-established and successful supplier to Physicians, clinics and surgery centers in the Greater Chicago market. With the addition of Richmark, MMS strengthens their presence and expands their service capabilities in this key market. The new com- pany will operate under Richmark Medical, a division of MMS - A Medical Supply Company. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The MMS presence in Chicago has grown significantly based on another key acqui- sition of a strong entrenched distributor, Harris Hospital Supply, by MMS in 2003. Since then, MMS has expanded service and supply chain solutions to other key components of the continuum of care including nursing homes, hospice and EMS.
